Futurebuilders England

Futurebuilders England announced it is actively seeking applications from third sector organisations working across all public service areas who are looking to win contracts with statutory bodies such as local authorities, primary care trusts and learning and skills councils. They offer investment packages, starting at £50,000, to third sector organisations that want to improve public services in England. There is no such thing as a standard Futurebuilders investment. A loan will always be part of any investment but they are often combined with grants and professional support to help build the capacity of organisations preparing to contract with public sector bodies. Every package is tailored to the needs of the organisation and no two investments are the same. For more information click on the link above.

National Learning and Skills Council (LSC)

The funding body for all post-16 education outside the University sector. LSC funding, specifically the new allocation for family learning, can therefore be used to support parenting education and the training of people to deliver it. Family learning is defined by the LSC as 'Learning as or within a family; learning to help people operate as or within a family, including parenting skills'.

Practitioner-Led Research Grants

The Children's Workforce Development Council is offering grants for practitioner-led research projects in England. The findings from each research project will be used to support those who work with families and help to improve practice. The information gathered and the case studies presented throughout the research programme will be disseminated through a series of regional events and a national event. Click on the link above.
