University of Worcester Institute
of Education is offering a Postgraduate Certificate in Integrated Children's Services. It has been designed to
recruit those whose work role or interest reflects current policy developments and government initiaitives, such
as the Green Paper, 'Every Child Matters'. All of the modules provide scope for developing skills as
trainers and teachers, for example those working in a range of contexts with partners, through an emphasis on
critical reflective practice. The modules are content free, which allows them to be tailored to meet the
individual needs and interests of the learner. Similarly the assessment items lend themselves to a specific focus,
normally workplace-based, which may be related, for example, to issues of parenting.
