Family Links
Family Links is a registered charity promoting emotional literacy, nurturing and relationship skills, in families, schools and communities, through the Nurturing Programme. The Nurturing Progamme is a series of 10-week courses for children and young people in schools, and parents and carers in parenting groups, providing simple, effective tools to help people understand and manage feelings and behaviour. The programme works effectively with children in any setting and all parents in both group and one-to-one settings. Family Links works with and trains staff in many statutory and voluntary organisations across the UK. For more information visit the website or email.

Straight Talking Peer Education
The charity recruits, trains and employs teenage parents to deliver interactive courses in schools presenting the realities of pregnancy and parenting. Straight Talking aims both to give pupils an educated choice as to the time to become a parent and works to enable teenage parents to reach their potential. A recent audit showed that 95% of teenage parents employed by the charity were accessing education, employment and training. The charity has local schemes around the UK and works in partnership with the Teenage Pregnancy Team in Barking & Dagenham where the rates have reduced by over 12%. for further information please go to the website.
