Focusing on the wellbeing of the children, this course will give the whole family the opportunity to learn new skills to be able to cope with separation or divorce. The skills learned will also help in other situations beyond the family setting. The course consists of six 90 minute sessions which will be conducted over six weeks.
The best way for the Kids’ Turn programme to work is if parents and children attend together. The adults are usually split into two groups of about ten people in each, and two parents are attending together will always be put in separate groups. Children are separated out into children’s groups according to age (5-7 year olds; 8-10 year olds and teenagers).
