Summary: The variation in teenage conception and birth rates across the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are compared. The USA has the highest rate of teenage conceptions and births and all countries show great variations by region, race, indigenous origin and income distribution. Policy initiatives which tackle the root causes of social dislocation and low aspirations amongst certain groups are recommended.
